Complying with the conditions of an Introductory Tenancy
Introductory tenants will not have the same rights as a secure tenant. If you are an introductory tenant and there are any breaches of your tenancy, you can be evicted by Apex.
Before any possible eviction takes place, Apex will carry out an investigation to establish if grounds for eviction exist. If grounds are found to exist Apex will issue a notice advising why possession is being sought.
Introductory tenants DO NOT have the right to request a review of the decision taken by Apex. If you are appealing the decision you must send a written request within 14 days of receiving the notice. If a written request is not received within this 14 day period, there will be no further opportunity to appeal.
It is important to be aware that Introductory tenants cannot:
- Make improvements to the property
- Purchase their home
- Exchange their home with another social tenant
- Take in lodgers
- Sub-let all, or part of the property
